Import: Allegro

Cadence® Allegro® PCB Editor is a PCB layout system from Cadence Design Systems for designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).

Import: Allegro feature allows to import Allegro PCB design (layout) files into IDA-STEP v4. Import feature uses the following Allegro design files from indicated Allegro data folder:

  • ASCII layers file
  • ASCII pads file
  • ASCII components file
  • ASCII geometry file
  • ASCII nets file

This feature imports the following PCB and Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) data:

  • detailed layout data of the PCB (layers, tracks, pads, physical nets, thickness, etc.);
  • PCA layout data (assembly, networks);
  • assembly information (parts, packages, lands, vias, keep-out areas, board-outline, etc.);
  • technology (Surface Mount Device (SMD), through hole, etc.);
  • full graphical information (2D).
