Import: Board Station

Board Station® is a PCB-CAD System from Mentor Graphics for designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).

Import: Board Station feature allows to import Board Station design into IDA-STEP v4. It requires the following data from Board Station:

  • PCB directory;
  • ASCII geometry file.

This feature imports the following PCB and Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) data:

  • detailed layout data of the PCB (layers, tracks, pads, physical nets, thickness, etc.);
  • PCA layout data (assembly, networks);
  • assembly information (parts, packages, lands, vias, keep-out areas, board-outline, etc.);
  • technology (Surface Mount Device (SMD), through hole, etc.);
  • full graphical information (2D).

Import feature is fully compliant with the ISO 10303-210 conformance classes (cc):

  • cc8 - Assembly Physical Design;
  • cc9 - Interconnect Design.
