Import: CircuitCAM

LPKF CircuitCAM PCB is a CAM system from LKSoft / LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, which is used for designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).

LPKF CircuitCAM PCB software provides the user with a sophisticated CAM station. It can control all production data, modify the design, step and repeat the complete layout, perform different design rule checks, generate ground planes, input text using TrueType fonts, and generate routing data. LPKF CircuitCAM PCB is also a very efficient data converter, such as converting AutoCAD data to Gerber data.

Import: CircuitCAM feature allows to import design from CircuitCAM data files into IDA-STEP v4. It requires the following data files:

  • CircuitCAM data file (*.cam);
  • Auxilary XML design file.

This feature imports the following PCB and Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) data:

  • detailed layout data of the PCB (layers, tracks, pads, physical nets, thickness, etc.);
  • PCA layout data (assembly, networks);
  • assembly information (parts, packages, lands, vias, keep-out areas, board-outline, etc.);
  • technology (Surface Mount Device (SMD), through hole, etc.);
  • full graphical information (2D).

Import feature is fully compliant with the ISO 10303-210 conformance classes (cc):

  • cc8 - Assembly Physical Design;
  • cc9 - Interconnect Design.
