IDA-STEP v4 is a new generation of standards-based tools from LKSoft. Based on international standard ISO 10303 (STEP), IDA-STEP v4 supports viewing and management of various STEP data: 3D/2D models, PCB/PCA, PDM and other data. The component-based IDA-STEP v4 structure provides full customization capabilities and is easily extendable.

Significant performance increase
March 29, 2010 - 21:00The new maintenance release v 4.3.4 of IDA-STEP includes a new, considerably faster 3D visualization engine for all components. Instead of the formerly used Java3D API the new version uses a direct low level OpenGL interface (LWJGL), which results in much less memory consumption. For complex designs memory use decreased up to one tenth (1/10). In addition styling capabilities and others were further improved.
