Register, Install and Update

The Register, Install and Update wizard (Figure 1) helps the user to:

The Register, Update and Install wizard page is divided into two parts:

Register

After IDA-STEP Framework is started for the first time, the Register, Install and Update wizard pop ups on the screen. If you want to update license-id, or update installed features select the Register, Update and Install menu item in the Help menu.
If you want update already licensed features:

Update

After registration is finished a new dialog window appears to choose the way to search for features to install (see Figure 2).

  • Select the features to install in the particular layout by selecting check box in front of the feature name or use buttons next to the layout.
  • You may select viewing options by selecting check box:
    • Show the latest version of a feature only.
    • Filter features included on other features on the list.
  • After needed features is selected, click Next button to continue.
Note: If no updates for the currently installed features found, a particular message window appears on the screen (see Figure 4). Click OK button to close the window and try again later.

Install

After the features to install or update were selected, the Feature License page appears (see Figure 5). Some of the features have license agreements that you need to accept before proceeding with the installation.

  • Click on the feature name in the list on the left and read the license conditions on the right side of the window.
  • If you do not accept agreement terms, select the I do not accept the term in the license agreements radio button and cancel installation.
  • Otherwise, select the I accept the terms in the license agreements radio button and click Next button.
  • The Installation page appears on the screen (see Figure 6), presenting the list of features to be installed in the Features to install layout. You can change the location where the feature will be installed:

    • Select an applicable feature from the table list by clicking on it.
    • The install location data appears below the list.
    • Click Change location button. The New Update Site dialog appears (see Figure 7):

      • Select an applicable location in the Available installation locations layout.
        Or
      • Add a new location by clicking on Add Location button next to the layout. Select the location in your file system in the appeared dialog window and click OK button. The selected folder path appears in the Available installation locations layout.
      • Click OK button to confirm changes and exit the window.
    • Finally click Finish button to start the installation.

Verification

At the end of the installation process, the Feature Verification page appears (see Figure 8). You may install the indicated feature by clicking Install or Install All button or Cancel the installation.
